"Extremely comfortable stay"
The Retro B&B is in a fantastic location, within very easy walking distance of Canterbury City Centre, with its abundance of great places to eat and drink. The Retro is tastefully decorated, with some particularly lovely touches, for example the wooden oyster crates that served as bedside tables in our room (the Sail Loft), and the beautiful mix of tables and chairs in the breakfast room. Our room was impeccably clean, light, warm and comfortable, and our hosts were very welcoming. Read less
Likes:
As the walk into the City Centre was very straightforward, we felt instantly at home in Canterbury and at the Retro.
Dislikes:
We felt very well looked after at the Retro, and couldn't find fault with anything.

This was our first visit to Canterbury and the Retro B&B is ideally situated to discover the city centre and all it has to offer. The owners are very welcoming and informative, the bed was comfortable, everything was very clean and the breakfast very good. A very pleasant stay and we would definitely return again. Read less
Likes:
The cleanliness of the entire B&B, the comfort of the bedroom, the perfectly cooked breakfast and the friendliness of the owners.
Dislikes:
The shower - it was more of a trickle than a shower. Even though our room was at the back of the house we could sometimes hear the traffic from the main road outside.

"Clean bright room on noisy road near city centre, with friendly hosts and basic breakfast"
Very warm welcome at Retro B&B, which is clean and decorated with humorous touches, but the quality is not commensurate with the price. Front rooms suffer from noise on the road, and a double bed is fairly tight for two -- especially if either of you is over 6'. English breakfast is cooked to order, but it's just the basics. Shower pressure is about adequate. Read less
Likes:
Clean
Bright fresh decor
Friendly welcoming hosts
Dislikes:
Basic breakfast: a few cereals and standard English breakfast. Fans of fresh fruits, yoghurt and quality muesli will need to look elsewhere, as will anyone who likes good coffee. Small bed. Road noise
